Ubisoft has confirmed that Rocksmith 2014 is coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 4 in North America, and November 7 in Europe.

The tutoring franchise – which has already taught more than two million people how to play the guitar – will feature 1080p resolution on both current-gen consoles and uses “integrated streaming and capture features” to enable players to record and share performances.

Rumours of Rocksmith coming to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One sprung a few weeks ago following an ESRB filing.

On Playstation 4, Rocksmith 2014 will also support Remote Play via the PS Vita, where you can review songs without feedback, study tricky sections or practice in a more convenient space, away from your PS4.

The standard edition ships with over 50 tracks (with more than 300 available via DLC) and includes the Rocksmith Real Tone Cable – the USB connector that makes your guitar’s signal compatible with your console, as well as PC and Mac computers.

Any DLC tracks you’ve downloaded for your PS3 or Xbox 360 can be imported to native current-gen systems (PS3 to PS4, Xbox 360 to Xbox One) for no additional cost.
